Jordan DeLong, Manager of DeLong Agronomy, expressed the company’s dedication to supporting local producers for the long-term by enhancing products and services to ensure growers have the necessary resources for success. “Our commitment to continuous improvement drives us to provide growers with comprehensive solutions. Establishing our independent agency of experts expands options for farmers in the insurance marketplace,” DeLong affirmed.

At the helm of DeLco Crop Insurance is Melissa Gerner, who brings over two decades of invaluable crop insurance expertise, notably as the former National Education Manager for a federal government Approved Insurance Provider (AIP). Her role involved delivering widespread training and education to agents and producers across the country. Joining her as the Regional Crop Insurance Advisor is Jon Scheets, boasting a career spanning more than 25 years within the AIP sector, notably serving as a National Sales Manager and spearheading the development of private products.

While the DeLong Co. previously operated as a 3rd party agent for insurance through its seed division, the launch of this new independent division marks the company’s debut as an autonomous insurance agency. Presently, the DeLco Crop Insurance team operates in Wisconsin and Illinois, headquartered in Avalon, Wisconsin.
